Volunteer
Volunteering at the Pabst Mansion is a great way to meet new people, learn more about the history of Milwaukee, share your skills and experiences with others and most importantly... have FUN!
As a new volunteer you will be asked to attend a general orientation and training sessions which will help match your skills and interests to one of the following areas:
- Tour Guide (Docent): Our tour guides are our link to the public. As a tour guide, you will provide the visitor with a history of the Mansion and the Pabst family.
- Special Events: Love history but not ready to give your own tour? Special Events volunteers help organize groups and trail tours to keep the flow moving. They also act as greeters during our holiday season, letting guests know the house rules and handing out self-guide literature. Needing only minimal training, greeters are a great way to get involved in our beautiful museum!
- General Volunteer: There are a variety of ways to volunteer "behind-the-scenes". Volunteers are needed to help with special events, education, gardening, and outreach.
Volunteering at the Pabst Mansion is an enriching and rewarding experience. In order to show our appreciation we provide the following benefits:
- 10% discount in our gift shop
- Discount admission to Pabst Mansion events
- Free membership after 100 hours of service
- Special volunteer activities including an annual Christmas party, exclusive tours of historic Milwaukee sites, and volunteer recognition night
