Pabst Mansion has openings for Seasonal Museum Assistants to help manage operational activities at the museum’s historic. Training is paid and schedule of training is flexible. Hours will vary. An ideal candidate will be available for flexible scheduling. Ideally candidates will be available on Saturdays or Sundays, and some evenings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open/close/operate the museum’s facilities including the museum shop
- Welcome visitors to the Mansion by opening the door and explaining museum rules, as well as working on museum floors while visitors explore
- Assist with pricing and stocking merchandise in the gift shop
- Assist in keeping visitor areas clean
- Work special events and rentals
- Assist with cruise visits
Desired skills:
- Excellent communication, organization and planning skills
- Confront unexpected situations in a tactful manner
- Present a pleasant, enthusiastic and supportive personality
- Be an ambassador of the Pabst Mansion and our mission

Volunteer
Volunteering at the Pabst Mansion is a great way to meet new people, learn more about the history of Milwaukee, share your skills and experiences with others and most importantly... have FUN!
As a new volunteer you will be asked to attend a general orientation and training sessions which will help match your skills and interests to one of the following areas:
- Tour Guide (Docent): Our tour guides are our link to the public. As a tour guide, you will provide the visitor with a history of the Mansion and the Pabst family.
- Seasonal: Love history but not ready to give your own tour? Seasonal volunteers act as greeters during our holiday season, letting guests know the house rules and handing out self-guide literature. They also check guests in using the Mansion's ticketing system. Needing only minimal training, greeters are a great way to get involved in our beautiful museum!
Volunteering at the Pabst Mansion is an enriching and rewarding experience. In order to show our appreciation we provide the following benefits:

- Free membership after 100 hours of service
- Special volunteer activities including an annual Christmas party, exclusive tours of historic Milwaukee sites, and volunteer recognition night
