CHRISTMAS MEMORIES OF THE PAST
The Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, 2000 West Wisconsin Avenue,
known for its nationally recognized holiday displays, is proud
to present Christmas Memories of the Past, November 11, 2005-January
8, 2006. The season will kick off with the annual opening reception
on Thursday, November 10th, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The evening will
feature live music, hors d'oeuvres and champagne. Reservations
for the opening reception can be made by calling (414) 931-0808.
The gala is free to members as a "Thank You" for their
ongoing and generous support. Non-members are encouraged to become
members and attend for free or join us on this special evening
for $35 per person.
Each year's magnificent decor attracts over 10,000 visitors,
and this season will be no exception. The Mansion's rooms will
be elegantly transformed by local designers, businesses and residents.

The beautiful decorations continue on the second floor, with
a special exhibition in Elsbeth's Room: "Dear Santa, Please
Bring Me...: 100 Years of Children's Toys, 1870-1970". The
exhibit will feature boys and girls toys ranging from dolls to
games to cast iron banks, many of which you are sure to remember.
Examples include, a Tammany Hall bank where the coin deposits
into the man's pocket, a "Tommy Cat" pillow, and toys
and dolls from the collection of child star Jane Withers. See
tomorrow's antique and collectible toys today! A recently added
section of the exhibit will feature the American Girl Doll Series,
specifically the Samantha and Addy dolls. Great accessories, including
clothes and furniture, will be displayed with their respective
dolls.
Tour the Pabst Mansion on weekends in December and enjoy live
music!
Charles Dickens and his famous DICKENS DINNERS return to the
Pabst Mansion this holiday season courtesy of Bartolotta's. A
traditional English feast including "crackers" where
Charles Dickens himself will delight guests as he reads aloud
from the timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. Mark your calendars
because the dates fill up fast: Thursday December 15th, Friday
December 16th, and Monday December 19th through Thursday December
22nd. Reserve your place at this traditional Olde English Yuletide

The Pabst Mansion, the Charles Allis, and the Villa Terrace!
Visit Milwaukee's finest historic mansions for one low price of
$10 with the HOLIDAY SEASON PASS. Inspired by holidays long ago,
the Charles Allis Art Museum, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum,
and Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion are all decorated for the
season according to their unique architectural styles. A perfect
opportunity to experience all of the splendor of bygone days.
A fun and fabulous holiday outing for one low price! Tickets are
available at all three locations.
The Pabst Mansion's holiday hours are: Monday-Saturday 10:00
a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday Noon-4:00p.m. All holiday tours are
self guided. Christmas admission is: Adults $9, Seniors/College
Students $8, Children 6-17 $5, Children under 6 admitted free.
